Clickstart aims to inspire and equip year 12 students embarking on their BOWs for 2019.
Students will take part in 5 hands-on workshops in Photo and Video that go beyond the average classroom and push their understanding of what is possible.
The festival runs for 3 days but each day is the same, so you can choose when you would like to attend. The idea is to target students with an interest in Photo and Video, giving them a chance to learn from industry professionals and work with equipment beyond any School or University.
The workshops will include:
Object Photography and Still Life techniques
High-speed and Slow Motion
Motion Control Techniques
Audio Recording and Mixing
Advanced Studio Lighting for Photo and Video
Is it an excursion?
Yes, it is full on day of fun and learning. One of the only experiences specifically designed for year 12 Visual Arts students and their teachers. If you need help completing the paperwork Risk Assessment and Venue Information forms are available.
Who should I bring?
Any students you have that are interested in using photo and or video in their BOW, group sizes are limited to 10. You can book multiple groups Priority will be given to individual and small groups of students to make the day available to as many schools as possible.
What does it cost?
$60 per accompanied student – teachers are free.
$100 for unaccompanied students.
What about Teachers?
The teachers' preview on the evening of the 17th of October is a free event where teachers can try out each of the workshops in a relaxed atmosphere accompanied by drinks and nibbles.

Dragon is located at 22 Herbert St Artarmon which is a short walk from either Artarmon or St Leonards Stations.
